State of My Union Address …

I need your help.

Covid has altered life for all of us. The most hard hit have been the small businesses across our nation. Over 100k small businesses have closed their doors for good as we all hunker down and hope that someday life will return.

People forget that authors fall into the same category as small businesses. The product I am trying to sell … my writing. Due to lockdown restrictions, cancellations, and extenuating circumstances, I have not been able to sell my books at the Conventions around the country. While a good portion of my sales come online, there is nowhere besides Conventions that allow me to meet readers face-to-face and pitch my book. People are much more willing to take a chance on a new book when they meet the author.

When I was still self-published, more than a quarter of my sales came from in person Conventions.

Now, as a traditionally published author, that avenue of sales has been closed off to me. And just as small businesses around the world are facing the hardships of forced closings and severe profit limitations, I am looking at another year without being able to organically grow my readership.

I am facing a massive shortfall in projected sales.

That’s why I need your help. With Trinity set to hit the shelves in a month and a half, the Convention scene is non-existent and bookstores remind me of something out of a post-apocalyptic movie. If you could share Genesis on social media and with friends, I might just survive long enough to finish writing book three.

Remember, it’s not just me. Small businesses everywhere are in desperate need of your help. Restrictions and regulations are crushing the ability of people to make a living.

Please, share this. Share the link to my book. And if you have read my book, please rate and review it.

In the meantime, keep on reading, keep on helping your fellow man back to their feet, and keep on flying the Black.
